Today has been especially tough. Larry has been pretty much non-responsive. The pain keeps increasing. The doctor came tonight (yes, she makes housecalls and she's really good at her job, and she's really sweet). How blessed we have been with such good medical staff, in the PCU at the hospital, in oncology, in hospice. They have all gone above and beyond the call of duty. We have made some very cherished friendships. Anyway, the doctor put up the pain med so he can rest semi-comfortably. We pray that he can be relieved of his suffering soon. Above all, we pray for the Lord's will to be done.

  2. Leesa and Family,
Have you thought about having Larry's dad come and give him a blessing to let Larry know that things will be OK, and it is OK for him to go? We know that many people will think that that is harsh....but I know that sometimes family members need to know that it is OK to go. And that a Priesthood Blessing will give them that assurance.
We know that this has been so difficult for all of you....and for Boyd.

  6. Just some facts from my hospice experience, Leesa. If Larry has stopped eating and drinking it actually triggers the body to send out endorphines (those feel good chemicals) and once urine stops producing the patient usually only has 24 hours. I love you Leesa. I pray you are being lifted up in physical strength to get you through this emotional trial.

  7. Leesa and family, You are all in our family's thoughts and prayers. You and Larry have always been dear to us and we know that all of the good that you both have spread around the world will come back to you. It is hard to hear what you are going through. We love you.
